Here, I have taken two different images from my most recent photoshoot, and changed one of them into black and white. I measured out 1 cm lines on the back of both images, horizontally on one and vertically on the other, so that i could weave them together to create this checkered pattern. The main visual elements that I can see here are colour, line, shape, form, pattern and the illusion of texture. To improve, I think that I could have, changed the original colour copy image, to a single colour copy, for example blue, to create more of a contrast between the black and white image, to emphasise the checkered pattern, and make it more noticeable to grab the viewers attention. Next time it could be interesting to change the shape of my lines to curves, to create more of an illusion. |
For this experiment, i used two of the same image, one in black and white, and the other in colour. I decided to use a small amount of glue to stick the black and white image onto the coloured one, so that i could tear pieces away to allow the colour image to show through. I really like how this has emphasised the water droplets, further emphasising my theme of fragmentation. I think if I were to improve, I would maybe edited the images, so the light and dark tones in each image, are more noticeable, so when put together, the contrast really, well and strongly against each other.

What i like about my stop motion, is it tells a story from the starting point to the end of the image, which i think is very interesting. I am happy, how well it turned out, considering it 2ams my first time experimeting , with creating an animation. |

I think i could have improved this by making the process longer, and taking more images to make the video longer. I think I could have made the transition of the frames more seamless, by placing my phone in a stand, so they don't move. |
